The underwater world of Šolta is well known and very popular with divers as one of the best diving locations in the Adriatic. One of our underwater wrecks is only sixty feet down and 300 yards away from our house, another one is some hundred feet down and one mile from our base, while the reef right in front of our house is perfect for night diving and diving lessons.
Wall, wreck, cave
The diving spots around Šolta and the surrounding islands are impressive by their rich colours and the crystal-clear water with visibility in excess of 50 m.
The shoreline offers many steep walls, caves, fields of gorgonians, reefs and wrecks. Needless to say all these are ideal diving locations for the beginner and the experienced diver.
Ribolovac wreck is an old fisherman boat 30 m long. It is only 5 min away from our base.
Upper part of the wreck is already on 12 m and the deepest point is on 20 m so it's perfect spot for begginers but also for a night dive.
Marie cave is located on the south side of the island. With a boat it takes us 35 min to get there from diving base.
Spot beggines with entrance of chimney located on the tower at 10 m depth. Exit of the chimney is at 22 m where is gallery full of corals and sea life, especially lobsters.
From the exit we procced to the wall at operating depth around 35 m whereupon we go back to the top of the tower which is full of fish.
Gallery wall in Livka bay is 25 min boat ride away from diving base.
Operating deepth is from 30 to 45 m.
At the end of negative wall is gallery full with Aplysina aerophoba and other small corals which make gallery look like a night sky full of stars.
Lučica cave is a 40-minute boat ride away. We anchor the boat right above the position.
Entrance to the cave is at 4 m and then we go down to the big room on 25 m. There are also some channels which go to 40m.
Kampanel is 45 min boat ride away from diving base.
It looks like a bell tower in the middle of the sea. Because of the current, tower is full of life.
On aprox 35 min depth is a tunnel full of purple gorgonians.
Jorja wall in Jorja bay on the south side of Šolta is 35 min boat drive away from diving base.
There is a negative wall which goes from 20 - 42 m depth. On aprox
25 m is a big cave, perfect for taking pictures.
Rest time in hidden bays
Since we make two dives per trip we need a time for rest in between the dives. Between the dives we spend 1.5h - 2h in a loney bays on the south side of Šolta island or in Milna village, depends on diving location that day. In that time divers can have a lunch, swim, explore the bays or just enjoy the sun.
Diving school and discovery diving
We offer diving school for begginers CMAS* and upgrades for divers. There is also an option for non divers to experience diving for the first time. It's called Discovery diving. Instructor will provide scuba gear, explain basic scuba diving skills and answer any questions you may have.
